Current positions:
Workshop Coordinator (Part-Time) – Hämeenlinna, Finland
We’re looking for a proactive and organized part-time Workshop / Production Coordinator to support our production, logistics, and quality control processes at Kasperi. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who has excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Someone who enjoys both planning, organizing, and hands-on work. You’ll help ensure that materials, orders, and inventory are where they need to be — and jump into conducting quality control checks to ensure high standards or help with production when needed. The role is 1–2 days per week and offers opportunities for growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Place and manage material orders based on production needs
- Receive, inspect, and update materials into the inventory system
- Maintain accurate on-site inventory of materials, components, and finished products
- Plan production orders 2–3 months ahead based on sales forecasts, adjusting based on needs
- Ensure material availability for upcoming production runs
- Conduct quality control processes to ensure high standards
Additional Responsibilities:
- Take care of e-commerce logistics
- Handle product shipments and occasional customer service related to orders
- Help troubleshoot production challenges in coordination with the team
- Occasionally assist in production as a floater when needed
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive mindset and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a team
- Experience in production planning, inventory, or logistics
- Experience with sewing and especially leather sewing is considered a plus
- In an ideal scenario, you would also support production actively in a hybrid role — but this is not a requirement. See this: The School of Leathercraft.
Growth Opportunities:
This is a key support role with potential to evolve. In the beginning, you will be onboarded to the existing processes, but being able to bring industry best practices while maintaining flexibility needed in a small shop is a strong plus. You’ll gain insight into how a high-quality workshop operates, and with time, you may take on more responsibility in production planning, procurement, or hands-on making — depending on your interest and skills.
