The most important thing is that certain ´je ne sais quoi´, that you can´t really put into words, but let´s just say that my Kasperi is a loyal companion with a soul. I´m pretty sure you´ll know what I mean once you receive yours ;-)
As far as functionality is concerned, I can´t find a single flaw after several weeks of use, you can tell a lot of thought went into the overall design. The size of the backpack itself, the felt sleeve and the outer pouch is right at the sweet spot for me, it can stand upright on its own, it´s comfortable, the inside has always stayed bone dry so far, it looks absolutely gorgeous and everything including the attachment points seems to be pretty much bombproof.

Ment to be a surprise and to replace all trials and errors of backpacks my husband has tried so far out there, it has more than succeeded to both. This backpack is a piece of beautiful craftmenshio, that we will enjoy for a lifetime and then, pass on to our kids... Thank you Kasper team!

I pre ordered my bag shortly after getting an ad on Instagram a few months ago, I was a bit scared of the price at first, because I'd never paid so much online on something that wasn't an electronic device or a piece of furniture. Eventually, while I waited I got the big brown bag, because it was beautiful in its own way and different from the green fold top.
It is bigger than the other one and it certainly fits a lot of stuff, the extra strap to extend the closing mechanism is very handy, although I normally don't have to fill it to it's maximum capacity.
The external pocket is handy for small objects you don't want to get lost loose in the bag. I personally prefer the one hidden by the brown one, but I believe that the lower external one is indeed the best option for those who actually use it outdoors.
In the first few days I asked if it was not possible that they add a pressure button to help the top flap remain closed in case we can't use the strap, they said that over time the leather takes the shape and gets more malleable, so I waited a bit longer to write this review. It was true, the folds will take and it'll roll more easily.
For anyone who never had any leather bags, they're water resistant, but not water proof, so if it rains, it'll suck up the moisture and the rain drops will "stain" the new leather. The green is gorgeous, but you have to keep in mind that it will mellow as well and slowly take a yellower "autumn" color, just compare the photos of the Instagram posts with the ones they've been using for a while and the photos of the new ones. I love how leather ages and shows it's been used. If you don't, keep that in mind.
Because this bag is bigger, so are the shoulder straps, they're wider for extra confort. The two kasperi bags I have are very comfortable to wear despite their natural weight. They are comfortable on the back and also on the shoulders. They will only feel uncomfortable if you try to carry too many heavy things, but that's also the case for any bags. What I mean to say is that, for reasonable use, the curved and wide leather straps feel very comfortable and I don't really miss that they don't have any padding. The same goes for the back.
Keep in mind that these bags are made in Finland, if you are going to wear them outside year round where it is hot, it will be sweaty. I live in Belgium, so it wasn't a big deal, but leather is leather. It will be sturdy, adapt, but it is not a breathable material.
The detachable felt pouch for a computer or other stuff is also useful to organize things in the bag.
I just love it, if I lived in a place where I could have the bushcraft gear they sell, if have gone for the whole package of accessories.

The price is scary, but considering the materials, the design, the care, and that I believe it will last me a lifetime, I am satisfied with my Kasperi bags.

Vilket hantverk! Snygg, skön på ryggen. Lite mer rymligare än väntat, vilket är bra. Baksidans ficka hade jag velat ha lite djupare, men inget stort problem. Osar kvalitet, helt galet. Känns som att den kommer att hålla längre än jag kommer att orka bära den på ryggen
