About this originals

The color combination of the Moss Green from Ahlskog and Natural from the SOHRE tanneries leather go together exceedingly well and with time will patinate beautifully with depth in both the moss green and natural tones.

The interesting part in this backpack is that we have two of these made from Norwegian Red Deer leather as an experiment and two from Finnish Whitetail Deer. Their outward difference is virtually indistinguishable, both have an exceptionally supple feel to them and will be great choices. Both are vegetable-tanned at Ahlskog Tannery in Finland.

As a product that lasts a lifetime, it is an investment that only gets better, more sustainable and more meaningful with time. Stylish for city use. Sturdy for forest hiking. Easily big enough for a weekend trip. Compact to carry on as cabin luggage. Its ergonomics are designed to keep it comfortable even after full days of carrying heavier loads. It might just be the last backpack you’ll ever need.

A large detachable computer sleeve is included that will fit most 17" modern laptops and even some 17.3" laptops. The sleeve attaches only at the top to let the bag conform to the shape of your back. It also works as padding when the bag is packed full. The bag has six external attachment points for external gear like camera tripods, fishing rods, or camping gear.

Materials

Made from high-quality vegetable-tanned leather. The frame of the bag is made of German SOHRE tanneries bovine leather and the folding part is made of Ahlskog tannery's vegetable-tanned sturdy but soft moss green Whitetail Deer or Red Deer leather.

The detachable computer sleeve is made of recycled felt, that's made in Finland. The G-buckles are made out of marine-grade stainless AISI 316 steel. The roller buckles are stainless steel from Sweden. The polyester yarn and rivets come from Italy.
