The goal of the day is to find the most beautiful spot for making and enjoying pannukahvi, or campfire coffee. And who knows what you'll stumble upon along the way. A bunch of your wild mushrooms or berries. A glacial boulder, a giants kettle, or an ancient deadwood. And there's something about brewing that cup of campfire coffee, it’s a simple yet beautiful process that produces the most full-bodied and creamy coffee you’ve ever tasted.

The Kuksa offers an exceptionally pleasant drinking experience. It's never too hot to hold or drink from and you can tune its flavor to your own taste. Once you've gotten cozy with your Kuksa, it might just become the last cup you want to drink from. Each time you drink coffee from a Kuksa, it's infused by the oils and tannins in your coffee. This keeps the Kuksa clean without washing.
Originally a type of "Duodii" (Sámi functional handcrafts), the "Guksi" is a personal drinking vessel. It has a variety of names in the Nordics such as Kuksa, Kuksi, Kasa, Koxa and Kosk. Its functionality has helped it spread from Sápmi to most of the Nordics as the cup of choice for the outdoors.
This Kuksa is handcrafted from curly birch in Vaajakoski, Central Finland. The variation between shapes makes each Kuksa unique. With proper care, your Kuksa will last you a lifetime.
