Every backpack and bag starts its life in our Hämeenlinna workshop. It a 19th century horsestable in a heritage milieu, where we now make our packs in small batches. We design and craft each piece with the ethos that it should stay in use for decades or even a century from now. Just like the building we make them in.

We work with European full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, solid custom hardware forged in Finland, and carefully chosen European components. Why? Because dedication is the way to make something that will be passed on.

Every design is made with longevity in mind. The packs leave out weak details. Or features that become obsolete over time. If a seam ever loosens or a strap wears down, it can be fixed by us or your local shop. This way the bags or backpacks keep going, carrying the marks and patina of your own story. Finnish craftsmanship and design, built for a lifetime of good experiences.

We use European full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. It’s strong, it’s full of character, and it’s one of the few materials that improves with age. The leather is tanned naturally with Mimosa leaf, Quebracho wood and Chestnut bark extracts. This means it is free of harmful chrome and develops a deep, rich patina the more it’s used.

Over time, our sturdy saddle leather shapes itself to your shoulders — becoming more comfortable the longer you carry it. Paired with custom solid hardware forged in Finland and carefully chosen European components, every Kasperi reflects our commitment to real quality, leathercraft and honest sourcing.
